As the representative of the Jewish community in Germany, the Central Council of Jews (ZDJ) is the most important point of contact for Jewish communities, regional associations and all other Jewish institutions in the country.

Since 2004, the Central Council of Jews in Germany’s cultural program has presented a wide range of cultural events for the communities each year. The program has now been fully digitized for the first time. “From Classical to Klezmer”—the offerings in the catalog are diverse and presented in audiovisual format (videos, audio clips, images, and texts). Using a “wish list” feature, communities can put together their desired program and submit it directly to the Central Council of Jews in Germany (ZDJ).   

The responsive design and data management were implemented using the WordPress content management system, which enables cost-effective implementation and further development, particularly with regard to updates, new features, SEO, interface design, and usability.  

In addition, a Django backend was developed and integrated to enable the management of the cultural program and requests for the ZDJ. A budget management system that performs automated calculations was also integrated, along with the option to download the data as an XLS file.
